Private car service from Salt Lake City International Airport to Draper starts at $160 for a sedan and $175 for an SUV.
Draper is about eighteen miles south of the airport along I-15. The trip usually takes twenty-five to thirty-five minutes in good conditions. Evening rush hour and events can stretch that to forty to sixty minutes. Draper sits just south of the Point of the Mountain ridge line.
Roads we actually use
The standard route is I-15 south to the 12300 South exit or Bangerter Highway depending on your final address. Some eastern Draper destinations near the Traverse Mountains use 11400 South or Pioneer Road. The I-215 belt route is rarely faster for Draper unless I-15 is completely locked.
Traffic by time of day
I-15 southbound is heaviest from 4:00 to 6:30 PM. Morning northbound into Salt Lake City is also slow from 7:00 to 9:00 AM. The Point of the Mountain section narrows slightly and causes regular slowdowns. Friday afternoons are consistently the worst window for this direction.
When to add buffer
Add fifteen to twenty minutes for evening arrivals. Add thirty minutes if your destination is near a corporate campus or event in Draper. Winter weather is less of a factor here than in the canyons, but ice on I-15 can slow everything down.
Vehicle options and pricing
Sedans start at a written flat rate. SUVs start at $175. The extra space helps if you are traveling with golf clubs, multiple bags, or a small group. Draper has several business parks, and our affiliates handle a lot of corporate transfers in this area.
