What Ski Resort Transfer Service Is
Ski resort transfer service provides pre-booked chauffeured rides from Salt Lake City International Airport or downtown to Utah ski resorts. Our dispatch team, headquartered in New York, dispatches each ride through vetted local affiliate operators. We transport skiers, snowboarders, and groups with equipment to Park City, Deer Valley, Snowbird, Alta, Solitude, and Brighton. Vehicles include sedans, SUVs with ski racks, and sprinter vans. Every booking includes luggage and gear assistance. Chauffeurs are familiar with resort access roads and main lodge drop-off points. I recommend booking an SUV or van if you carry more than two large ski bags, because sedan trunks fill quickly.
Who Uses It in Salt Lake City
Vacationing families and corporate retreat planners use this service most during ski season, which generally runs from November through April. International travelers fly into SLC for direct access to the Cottonwood canyons and Park City. Film industry visitors book transfers during Sundance Film Festival in January. Wedding parties and group travelers reserve sprinter vans for multi-room stays at Deer Valley or The St. Regis Deer Valley. Local executives also use the service when they prefer not to drive in canyon snow. Day-trippers from downtown Salt Lake City also book morning runs to Alta or Snowbird and afternoon returns. Snowbird averages about 500 inches of snow annually, making reliable winter transport essential. The Cottonwood canyons receive some of the deepest snow in North America, which is why four-wheel-drive vehicles are common.
How Pricing Works
Sedan transfers from SLC airport to Park City start at $155. Transfers to the Cottonwood Heights area start at a written flat rate, and runs toward Snowbird or Alta start at a written flat rate. SUVs with ski racks start at $185 for Park City and $145 for the Cottonwood canyons. Sprinter vans for groups start at $275 to Park City and $225 to Snowbird or Alta. SUVs to Deer Valley start at $185, and sprinter vans for wedding parties start at $275. Pricing is flat, so canyon traffic does not change the fare. Gratuity is not included unless you have a corporate account. Extra stops or resort-to-resort transfers are quoted separately.
One Honest Limitation
The Utah Department of Transportation closes canyon roads for avalanche control and snow removal after heavy storms. SR-210 through Little Cottonwood Canyon and SR-190 through Big Cottonwood Canyon are especially prone to morning closures. We monitor UDOT alerts and adjust departure times, but we cannot bypass road closures. We recommend early morning pickups on powder days. All-wheel-drive vehicles help, but they do not override official closures. If UDOT implements mandatory traction or chain restrictions, our affiliates comply even if it delays the trip.
